Infant and Early Childhood Mental Health Services

Infants, toddlers, and preschoolers have unique social and developmental needs. Becoming a parent brings so much hope and joy and it can also be one of life’s most challenging transitions. Secure bonding and attachment with your child are crucial to the foundation of healthy relationships. Early intervention can have a significant impact on a child’s ability to learn new skills and overcome challenges and can increase success in school and life.
Our team of Infant Mental Health/Early Childhood specialists offer services to young children birth through age 6 and their caregivers/parents. We create a safe space for the parent/caregiver and child to engage together through play and talk therapy. Parents/caregivers are invited to explore their feelings related to parenting, including how current stressors and their own infant and early childhood relationships and experiences may be getting in the way of how they would like to parent.
PCS-Counseling also offers therapeutic support for mothers experiencing perinatal depression, anxiety, and mood disorders, parents/caregivers struggling with fertility, pregnancy/infant loss, young adult gynecological cancer patient/survivors, trauma, foster care, and adoption.
