Staci Belanger is a licensed clinical social worker with endorsement from the Michigan Association for Infant Mental Health and training from Postpartum Support International. Staci has experience providing support and mental health treatment to individuals in the perinatal period, infants, toddlers and young children (birth-six) for over 15 years.

Planning a family can be a challenging time for many families. Many times in spite of reading all the books, scanning the internet and asking all the questions, it is not what you expected and your mental health can shift and change. Staci can support you through this delicate period.

Staci’s approach to therapy with young children and their caregivers is about building a safe, trusting relationship. Our earliest relationships provide the foundation for all future relationships. A safe space is created for the parent and child to explore together through play and talk therapy, together and individually. Parenting can be challenging. Individually, parents are invited to explore their feelings related to parenting, including how current stressors and their own infant and early childhood relationships and experiences impact their relationship with their child.

Staci’s area of specialty and training includes perinatal depression, anxiety and mood disorders, fertility challenges, pregnancy/infant loss, trauma, foster care and adoption.

Parenting can include a range of feelings and experiences. Are you struggling to understand, parent and relate to your infant, toddler and young child? Are you out of ideas on how to help your child manage their big feelings and behaviors? Has parenting left you exhausted, overwhelmed or feeling hopeless? Are you experiencing guilt or shame for having these feelings? Let’s get you out of that cycle. Your feelings, worries, hopes and dreams are important. And, so are your child’s. We can create a space that will support you, your child and their developmental needs. We can work individually or with you and your child together.
